How does Mesotherapy work?
Mesotherapy is a technique of micro-injections of traditional medication, homeopathic medication, and vitamins into the mesoderm, or middle layer of skin, acting as a “medicinal bullet” that is delivered directly to a target in the body. Orally administered medication, on the other hand, is distributed throughout the whole body. Mesotherapy allows a much smaller does of the same medicine to be injected directly at the site of the problem, with the skin acting as an efficient time-release delivery system. Mesotherapy works by stimulating the body to heal itself in those targeted areas.

Mesotherapy was developed in 1952 by Dr. M. Pistor in France, and was recognized as a distinct medical specialty by the French National Academy of Medicine in 1986.It has gained its popularity worldwide especially in South America ever since. It has been pioneered in United States by Dr. Lionel Bissoon in 1999.
(LipoDissolve)
By dissolving localized fat deposits mesotherapy is effective in slimming down and reducing size of the body areas with an excess fat. Mesotherapy for fat reduction is also called LipoDissolve or Injection Lipolysis.
Mesotherapy can be used to eliminate double chins, “love handles” , “spare tires”, “muffin tops” and any other areas where your body pockets fat. Mesotherapy is a vast improvement over other treatments such as liposuction because it is a non-surgical procedure and it does not require hospital admittance, anesthesia, or downtime as opposite to liposuction. It is much more affordable too. The fat deposits flush out of specific areas and the body does not gain the weight back in other ares, which often happens after liposuction.

Which body area can be treated?
Any area with unwanted fat: lower and upper abdomen, love handles, “spare tires”, bra bulges, breasts, outer and inner thighs, hips, buttocks, arms, chin, jowls, eye pads.
Men commonly treat gynecomastia (enlarged breasts) and groin pads.
What’s being injected?
The most effective and most commonly used drug for dissolving fat is Phosphatidyl Choline- natural emulsifier (detergent) found in soy beans, causing dissolution and death of fat cells.
It’s FDA approved in some OTC cholesterol medications and topically in about 700 cosmetics.
What does the treatment look like?
The number of injections per treatment session depends on the size of the area that is being treated (maximum 50 injections per treatment). Typically an injection is made once per square inch of the area containing fat.
We use a newly designed mechanical injection gun (Meso-Gun) which holds the syringe and automatically fires through a fine 3OG needle administering a consistent dose with each injection. For most patients injections typically are painless. They can be compared to insulin injection under the skin.
Treatments are performed every 14 days or sometimes once a week, total of 6-8 treatments per body area. Results may be noticeable as soon as after the first treatment or it make take up to 3-4 treatments to start seeing improvement.
Healthy diet and exercise program are recommended to maintain the results. Results will be long-term if there is no more weight gain over the next few years.
What are the Side Effects?
- there is an immediate burning sensation after the treatment which usually lasts for 20-30 min. It is caused by the “fat burner” entering the fatty tissue
- local tenderness, soreness, swelling and bruising lasts up to 48 hrs
- there is no down-time after injections.
- there were no serious complications or reactions reported
Post-treatment Instructions:
- avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications (aspirin, Motrin, Advil, Aleve), icing the area or drinking alcohol and eating carbohydrates for 2-3 days after the treatment because it may decrease its effectiveness.
- only pain medication which does not adversely affects results is Tylenol
- wear supportive clothing (girdle or spandex shorts) to minimize swelling and tenderness
- avoiding exercising the treated area for 48 hours
- drink a lot of water to help the kidneys “flush” the fat out from the body
Who should not be treated with Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy/LipoDissolve treatments should not be performed if you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of any serious health problems or bleeding disorders.
What if I don’t like shots?
You can still achieve results either with single weekly injection of Lipotropics with Vitamin B12 or Adenosine (AMP) or even without needle therapy at all.
To assist with lipid metabolism and reduction of fatty tissue Adenosine sublingual spray, Adneosine tablets, LipoBC™ tablets and topical MesoDerm Cream™ were formulated.

Other uses of Mesotherapy:
Mesotherapy for Getting Rid of Cellulite
Mesotherapy can be used to eliminate cellulite on the legs and buttocks. By repairing the connective tissue, shrinking the fat cells and increasing circulation, mesotherapy can rid these areas of the “orange peel” skin, thus revealing a smoother and more toned appearance.
The average patient generally requires 8-10 weekly treatments in order to achieve these results.
Mesotherapy for Skin Rejuvenation
Using a Mesotherapuetic process known as Mesolift, vitamin injections under the skin rejuvenate cells, activating them metabolically and stimulating natural collagen and elastin production. This process not only reduces the appearance of existing wrinkles, but also helps prevent new ones from forming.
Mesolift can help “age-proof” patients of any age – some patients start in their mid-20s, others in the 60s or 70s.
Approximately 4-6 consecutive treatments on the face, neck, arms and hands are recommended to maintain the skin’s youthful appearance, with a follow-up visit once every three to four months.

“I would like to thank you for changing my life. I give God the credit, but he used your hands and mind to do his work. When I met you, I was 42 years old and not aging very gracefully. I mace in for some restylane and was very happy with the results. You helped make a scar less noticeable and give my face a more youthful appearance….”
