Permanent Makeup

The soft, natural beauty of permanent eye and lip makeup can be yours from now on. No fuss, no muss. Just fabulous eyes. Each permanent makeup application is as unique as the person who receives it.

Permanent makeup is the art and science of implanting color into your skin. It is putting the right color in the right place so you can look better naturally. Specialized instruments allow your Micropigmentation professional to place color into the layer of your skin known as the dermis. Because the outermost layer of skin, the epidermis, is always shedding and renewing itself, you are looking at the color through a thin veil of skin. When a procedure is completed, the color will appear darker than the final result. This is because the color is in BOTH the epidermis and the dermis. The color in the top layer will flake off during the healing process lightening the overall effect. It is a cosmetic invasive procedure that requires skill, experience and cooperation with your permanent makeup professional.

Before your microsurgical procedure, you will discuss your cosmetic preferences in detail and we will recommend the look that is right for you. You are an important part of the team.

WILL I REALLY LOOK LIKE MYSELF…ONLY BETTER?
Absolutely! Permanent Makeup (cosmetic tattoo) helps give back what time has taken away and saves you precious time you normally spend “putting on your face”. You can save countless hours in a single year that were formerly spent struggling to draw eyebrows evenly or eyeliner half-way straight… that’s a lot of extra free time! Plus, imagine the money you’ll save not buying expensive cosmetics that rub off, smear, smudge and disappear during the day.

Permanent makeup is not necessarily intended to replace cosmetics completely. Because the color is placed “in” your skin and not “on” your skin a more natural, softer look results. When you’re ready to kick up your heels and go out for a night-on-the-town or want a different look, you can apply as much additional makeup as you wish.

EYELINER
Producing a subtle, natural look or a more dramatic look if you wish. Fashion colours can be used, or if you’d like to bring the best out of your eyes, a mixed shade that can enhance your own eye colour; a real eye-opener!

PERMANENT EYE MAKEUP LASH LINE ENHANCEMENT IS PERFECT FOR APPEARANCE CONSCIOUS WOMEN WHO:

  1. have active lifestyles and want timesaving convenience.
  2. wear contact lenses.
  3. have difficulty with cosmetic application.
  4. experience irritation from cosmetics.

YOU WILL ENJOY PERMANENT EYE MAKEUP BECAUSE IT:

  1. will not smear or wear off.
  2. never has to be re-applied like ordinary makeup.
  3. makes lashes look thicker and darker.
  4. can be augmented with conventional cosmetics for a more dramatic look.

EYEBROWS
Permanent Make-Up for brows giving full colour or a technique that mimics fine hair strokes.
This procedure increases shape and fullness to the brows – ideal for those with fair hair or where brows are patchy due to over-plucking.

LIP LINER
This procedure can be used to visually change the size and shape of the lips. As time goes by and the face ages, the shape of the lips becomes irregular, as the Vermillion border looks unshapely and uneven.

You can choose a neutral shade (to mimic your own lip colour if you prefer the effect to be more natural), or have a deeper colour for something more dramatic and adventurous!

FULL LIP COLOUR
With full lip colour you can have the appearance of fuller, more shapely looking lips. A lip line is first created and then colour is added to the rest of the lip area to give a dazzling, more youthful appearance.

BEAUTY SPOT
Beauty Spots can be put anywhere on the body; popular places include breast, cheek, buttocks, stomach and upper lip. This treatment looks very effective and can be used to disguise small acne scars, chickenpox scars, etc. A real eye-catcher!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECOVER?
You’ll look like you’ve had a good cry for several hours following eyeliner. It is advised to apply cold packs (not ice) for 10 minutes at a time during these first few hours. Also, it is important to wear sunglasses as your eyes may be temporarily sensitive to light. Eyebrow procedures have the least swelling. Lip color often involves temporary swelling. You must let your Micropigmentation professional know if you have a history of fever blisters so medication can be prescribed.

HOW LONG WILL MY MAKEUP LAST?

Micropigmentation lasts a long time, but not forever. As you become accustomed to your new makeup it’s not uncommon to want more. The darker the color the longer it will stay unchanged in your skin. Natural, delicate colors are oftentimes more vulnerable to the effects of sun, swimming and breakdown by the body’s natural response. Pigments used in our practice typically last up to 10 years.

Thousands of women have had the permanent makeup procedure performed in their physician’s office safely and quickly under a local anesthetic. Most are able to resume their normal activities within 24 hours.
