Exilis

Exilis Skin Tightening/Body Shaping

Exilis Skin Tightening and Body Contouring is an FDA-approved, innovative treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to remove unwanted pockets of fat and tighten and tone the skin.  RF heat penetrates the surface of the skin, dissolving fat cells, tightening skin tissue and stimulating the body’s own production of collagen. The procedure is non-invasive and typically performed in a series of treatment sessions to achieve optimal results.

How does Exilis work?

The Exilis device works on the surface of the skin, delivering RF energy to the targeted treatment area. You may feel gentle warmth as the device moves across the skin’s surface. An advanced cooling device keeps your skin at a comfortable temperature throughout treatment.

Treatment times vary, based on the size of the treatment area. Body contouring procedures typically take more time than skin rejuvenation procedures. The procedure is appropriate for all skin types, since the device does not target skin pigmentation.

What is recovery like?

Because Exilis is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment, there is no downtime after the procedure. You may experience mild redness of the skin in the treatment area, which usually subsides within an hour or two of your appointment. Patients do not experience any discomfort during or after the procedure and can resume all regular activities immediately after treatment.

What about results?

Most patients will require a series of treatment sessions to see optimal results with Exilis. The standard recommendation is four treatment sessions spaced 1-2 weeks apart, but that can vary slightly from patient to patient, depending on the patient’s response and specific goals for treatment. Once desired results are achieved, touch-up treatments may be required every few months.

Elixis Skin Tightening and Body Contouring can be performed alone or in combination with other cosmetic procedures, such as injectable treatments, to achieve even more dramatic results.
