What Is A Dermal Filler?
Dermal fillers are materials that can be injected below the surface to raise the level of the skin. They are especially formulated to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and provide the support your skin needs. Newer dermal fillers are also volumizers that improve global volume of the face.Fillers can be divided into temporary fillers made of collagen or hyaluronic acid (Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane, Evolence, Prevelle Silk) as well as semi-permanent fillers (Radiesse, Sculptra) and now also permanent fillers (BellaFill). They can be also divided into wrinkle fillers (hyaluronic acid and collagen fillers), voulmizers (Sculptra) and a combination of both (BellaFill, Radiesse).Temporary dermal fillers are bioabsorbable which means they are eventually absorbed by your body and require frequent repeat injections to maintain the results you’ve come to love.

How Are Wrinkles Corrected?
As we age, the skin loses some of its fullness due to the effects of gravity, aging, weather, etc. These effects can be corrected with simple injections of dermal fillers, which are naturally absorbed into the system over time. The appearance of wrinkles and facial folds can be smoothed by adding volume underneath and bringing the skin back up to the surface.
Which Facial Areas Can Be Treated?
Soft tissue fillers are used in facial contouring to add volume to tissue in facial areas such as cheekbones, lips, lip corners (“marionette” lines), hollow areas under eyes, jaw lines, nasolabial folds, mental fold, deep forehead lines. It is possible to treat linear scars on the face with dermal fillers as well.
For maximum results we’ve incorporated Dermal Fillers with Botox into the procedure called Liquid FaceLift. Body Focus is the only aesthetic facility in Midland-Odessa area to offer this extremely effective procedure.
